Glam Christmas

I think there is something very luxurious about matching black with gold. Black nail varnish is one of my favourites. I know a lot of people aka my entire family sees it as sad and morbid but I think it's very chic, especially when very glossy or paired with gold. I love all the 'typical' Christmas colours as you will see in the course of this month but recently I really wanted something glam on my nails. So I decided to incorporate black into my Christmas design and I must say I kinda like it!

This design was so quick I think it might have been the quickest one I've ever done. All you need to do is paint your nails black, stamp the design, add some dots, apply top coat and you're done! I just love MoYou Festive Collection 06! It's perfect for Christmas nails, it's got everything you need. For this Christmas lights design I used Collection 18 Going for Gold. Its consistency is really good for stamping. I sometimes find that glittery varnishes don't pick up designs well but this one is like liquid gold, it's brill! I used 5 different colours and the smallest dotting tool to cover gold 'lights' on the wire. They are Collection 6 Blue Belle, Seche Perfectly Poised, L'oreal 849 Vendome Emerald, NailsInc. Tate, Demi Carte 106. Sometimes I went a bit crazy with one colour and there was no more lights to cover so I just dotted some more along the gold wire. The black varnish I used was Miss Sporty 3338. I really like Miss Sporty varnishes because of the thick, round brush and the fact that the colours are always so rich even after one coat. I hope you like this design as much as I do!
