I really wanted to create something that's simple but still got that wow factor. I was also itching to try my new striping brush I bought from bornprettystore.com. I have to say so far I'm impressed! It was very easy to apply varnish with it and it wasn't too hard or too soft. I was so happy it didn't split and resemble a fan brush after use because I just hate when that happenes.

To create this design all I did was paint my nails with Maybelline Color Show 749 Electric Yellow and added random strokes of glittery and metallic varnishes.  It's not something I'd usually go for but I like how it turned out! I bought a few Models Own Chrome varnishes and although they are gorgeous and the consistency is amazing, metallics are a bit out of my comfort zone. Having said that, I really wanted to try this collection so I decided to dip my toes in first and if I liked it, try something bolder next time!

Btw if you're looking for a decent striping brush I really recommend the one I used for this design. You can find it here and if your decide to do some extra shopping for nail art bits and bobs feel free to use my code SXL91 to get 10% off.
