Skittles

I have seriously broadened my horizons recently! I mean neons? Not really my thing, I always imagined they would be streaky, too 'in your face' kind of shades, not to mention I cannot be bothered with a white base! However I went to my local Superdrug and spotted a 3 for £5 deal on Miss Sporty polishes and thought...why not? :D

This yellow polish is AWESOME! The consistency is good and no need for a white base to make the colour pop. In my pictures I'm wearing 3 thin coats. I love how this bright yellow goes with monochrome.

I have to admit I'm not used to dealing with stencils and it took me a few goes to figure it out. I just wanted to know if any adjustments would make any changes. For example I tried painting black over white and white over black to see if there would be any difference. I thought the second combo worked better but of course you need a white polish with a good coverage. It didn't come out as sharp as I'd like it to and now that I think about it I recon if I sponged the colour on top of those stencils it would have been perfect! Ah well, next time.

The stencils are form shesellsseashells and are really good quality. They don't leave any glue on my nails and they stick well making sure the polish doesn't 'leak'.

What do you think? Are neons your thing? Thanks for reading!
