Celestial Cosmetics Valyrio Collection | Swatches, Nail Art and Review

I love indie polishes, simple as that. I was never really a sparkle person but there's just something about a holographic effect that is so lush. As you can imagine when Rainbow Connection, a UK stockist of international indie brands, approached me about trying a few indie shades I couldn't say no!

It's always exciting to try new brands and although I've heard of Celestial Cosmetics before this was my first experience with it. Valyrio Collection was designed by Serenity Nails and it's a 6 piece set inspired by Game of Thrones. Today I want to show you the holographic polishes from this collection.

Sesir Kipi*

First up is the gorgeous blue linear holo. It's a very juicy shade, perfect for summer! It has a dusting of delicate green/sliver shimmer which give the polish more of a textured look. The formula was very easy to work with and  2 coats were needed for full coverage. The finish was smooth but I usually add a top coat to my holos to bring out the sparkle.

Dracarys*

I love this shade! I really don't wear enough reds and this one is so beautiful. It's a linear holo orange rusty red with scattered red glitter pieces. The polish had a really nice formula and was fully opaque in two coats. In the picture I'm wearing a layer of top coat.

Kirimvos*

Another juicy shade! This green polish apart from being holographic also contains opal flakes. When I saw this polish in the bottle I wasn't convinced about that addition but I changed my mind once it was on my nail. The flakes shift to many colours, like an opal stone would, and they don't stick out. I think the colour of the flakes came out a bit more once I added a top coat. The consistency was good but a little bit more streaky than the 2 previous shades. Still, 2 thicker coats cover everything nicely.

Now, how about a bit of nail art? I thought I'd utilise my fish scale stamp from the MoYou London plate and make it into dragon scales! Game of Thrones has dragons in it...right? Um, perhaps I should have googled that BEFORE I got carried away with the design. Yes, as you can guess by now I haven't seen the  tv show or read the books. Seriously though, there better be dragons in it, I like this design!

  1. I love these colours, especially the red & blue. I didn't think I liked the green one but on the Game of Thrones it's fab. Clever you!!!!
