I only need to look at my feed on any social media to know that the nail community is obsessed with Halloween this month. I see Halloween manis everywhere but I have to admit they are pretty awesome and it's hard not to be inspired. At the same time I've already done 2 festive designs and wasn't really feeling it again. I'm kind of into gradients these days so I decided to have a go at this beige-to-burgundy one that doesn't scream Halloween at all...
Either way this is my favourite gradient ever! I used Bourjois Rouge Obscur, NYC Park Avenue and Golden Rose I wasn't sure if beige and burgundy on their own wouldn't be too harsh so I added a light brown in between. I think it made the blending a bit easier and smoother looking. I had this 'wind swept leaves' idea brewing in my mind for ages and finally I made it happen!
I added a few leaves from MoYou London Mother Nature 07 plate in an attempt to make this design season related but I'm not sure I succeeded haha! I think it just looks creepy! I love it though especially with a matte top coat. I think it brings out the leaves a bit more. Which one do you prefer?
It's nice to see between the multitude of Halloween nail designs such kind of nail art! Love the effect of the gradient matte!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, matte version is my favourite too! I'm glad you like it xx
