Let me start by saying that when I bought my recent MoYou London Enchanted plate, I had a COMPLETELY different vision on how to use it. It all revolved around cuteness, soft pastel shades and lots of matte top coat. But then I spotted a 'Cute Halloween' contest...
There was no way I could say no to that! The competition is hosted by MoYou London and the idea behind it is simple: create nail art that's Halloweeny but cute. And let's face it, what can be cuter than tiny, fluffy forest friends? Exactly.
I even attempted a homemade decal which I don't do very often...or ever. I can make them fine I just can't apply it without it creasing around the edges. I usually wait for my decals to dry completely but I'm not sure that's a good idea. They become very rigid and I struggle to apply them nicely. Well the decal gods were surely watching over me this time! This one applied so well! I think the fact that the decal was just a tiny bit tacky when I peeled it off might have had something to do with that too;)
I picked up the stamp using Konad black stamping polish. I then filled in the raccoon using a grey Miss Sporty and randomly applied Models Own Flip Flop and Nails Inc. Queen Victoria Street over the leaves. If there were any gaps I filled them in using Sinful Show Off.
On the rest of my nails I created gradients. I used Models Own Flip Flop and Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street for the green reciprocal one. I was so happy with it I just wished it showed better in the pictures! I feel like you can't see the bright leaves at the bottom but they're very visible in real life.
On my middle finger I used Models Own Beach Bag and Beach Hut to create a gradient and the same MoYou Enchanted plate I used on all of my nails.
I simply love these nails! They're sweet but I used a typical Halloween palette to make them a bit creepy. What do you think? Are you with me on this?
Ouh I love it you mad it so beautiful, cant belive that you dont do stamping decals often! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you, they're just such a pain to apply to my curved nails, I think I might have been just lucky with this one haha!
DeleteI am not a big fan of Halloween nails, but this one is cute and love the colors of it!
