Did you watch the royal wedding yesterday? Of course you did! Did you check out the bride's manicure? Of course you did! As expected, it was very elegant and simple but it gave me an idea to do a royal inspired nail art wheel. You know, for the more adventurous brides!
I love the Victorian dresses and jewellery so that's where my inspiration came from. I really wanted to create something lavish and at the same time improve my embellishment arranging skills that, quite frankly, have been appalling. But then as I was trying (and failing) to pick up the 100th tiny freaking bead it occurred to me why I do this so rarely. I have ZERO PATIENCE. ZILCH. NADA.
Still, I got out all the beads, stones and studs I could find (turns out I accumulated about a tonne over the years) and began to cry, I mean, arrange. Honestly, hats off to all of you who make it look so effortless! My absolute fave is the red nail. I created it last when I had a bit more practice and it was inspired by a vintage ring.
I am well aware that a lot of brides tend to go for neutral options but I'm starting to notice a lot more brave choices, if my social media feed is anything to go by. I am still a little shocked that I managed to create an entire wheel and I actually love how luxurious and opulent every design looks.Would you wear any of these to your wedding?
If you'd rather rock a french, that's cool too! Make sure you check out my traditional wedding nail ideas.
