I was so excited about today's 31 Day Challenge theme! I found this really cool looking artwork online (as you do) and couldn't wait to recreate it on my nails. And I finally did. There is just one, tiny little problem. It's a fail! So annoying when things like that happen. Grrrr!
I sponged all the colours on a white base and applied a fast drying top coat. I then used chevron stencils from shesellsseashells.co.uk. At this stage I prefer to sponge the white colour on rather than paint it. I feel like it prevents 'leaks' and the chevrons are more sharp looking.

I then added a few lines here and there and coloured in some of the chevrons all in attempt to make it look somewhat like this:
Needless to say I kinda failed to do that haha! Now that I think about it, it might have been better to do a platter design underneath the chevrons. Ah well, tomorrow's another day. See you then! Xx
I don't consider it a fail. It looks artistic and interesting! I love how the colorful base peeks through the shapes!
