Man, I miss winter views. Snow, clear sky, the sun and nice fresh air. I don't really get it where I live now. But I suppose I've seen it all this year when I went home. So now that I'm back and not restricted to a few techniques and varnishes, I can do all sorts of nail art :D First up, since it's still winter, is my take on a snowflake design!
For this look I used two coats of Demi Carte 38 as a base. It's very affordable and quite opaque. You could even get away with one coat but it has a bit of a pearly look to it. The blue snowflakes and dots are created using Miss Selene 238, MoYou Festive Collection 02 and a dotting tool. The design on my thumb and ring finger is a homemade decal. I really enjoyed the process of making these...Naah, the fiddly thing was driving me insane! I only tried it once before but it didn't work because I didn't have a small enough detail brush. So I finally got myself one and nothing could go wrong, right?! Well not quite...It was all going well until I had to put it on my nail. I think the main problem was that I've done it on my stamper that is curved. So once the entire design was dry, it was curved and hard to place exactly where I wanted it to be. But hey, it's not THE WORST first try! To create the design on my thumb and ring finger I used the same MoYou plate, Miss Selene 238, Demi Carte 106 and 227. This whole design came out very different to what I anticipated. It turned into one of those designs that you invent as you go because my original idea looked a lot better in my head than on my actual nails, do you know what I mean? I hope you like it though!
