At first, these nails were meant to be just white with a black stamp. I knew I'd like them because I did the exact same design on my aunt's nails a few day ago. But then l started sorting out all my polishes, because frankly they were getting out of control, and spotted an OPI Sheer Tint I've never used. I always wanted to try this range but found it a bit pricey, until I spotted one at TKMaxx for £2.99 (bargain or what?!) and it got me thinking...
I was meaning to try a leadlighting technique for some time now because for me, it's an alternative to advanced stamping. Don't get me wrong, I love advanced stamping and the things you can create are pretty awesome but it just doesn't work for me. With the leadlighting all I need to do is fill in the blanks, no clean up, no problem with curved nails, no throwing things around the flat. Perfect, I think I may be trying it more often!
OPI Don't Violet Me Down was perfect to fill the stamp with a hint of a colour. I also used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (a jelly) and Ciate Fit for a Queen. The stamp is from MoYou London Bridal 07 plate, I know today's #31DC2015 calls for black and white...but I just couldn't help myself, I had to add some colour! I think we can all live with that, right? See, I knew you'd be cool.
See you tomorrow xx
