This year I've decided to take part in the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. Why I am making myself paint nails for 31 days straight, I don't know. I must be crazy! This is the first time I'm able to participate and although it's a bit daunting, I'm kinda excited! I really want to do it all but you know, I have some qualities (patience, I'm looking at you!) that could make me lose it so bad and basically make the next month of my life pure hell. I guess we'll have to see, won't we!
The first section is COLOUR and we start with a prompt: RED. I decided to keep the first section of the challenge simple because with so many prompts I don't want to 'burn out' too quickly. Having said that I may have some sort of surge of inspiration and come out with something awesome and complicated, but today is not that day.
This is just a simple red mani with some stamps and studs. The studs are from shesellsseashells.co.uk and I love them! I also used them in this alternative design. The idea for this stamp was floating around in my head for a while now. The idea behind it was to make it look as if the writing is casting a shadow, you know, like a 3D effect. The stamp is from MoYou London Pro XL 07.
Are you taking part this year? Good luck if you are and good luck to me, I have a feeling I'm going to need it! If you need any info, Chalkboard Nails has a great post about the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge.
