Hardly a gloomy matte(r)

This is one of those quick I'm-out-the-door-in-five kind of designs. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I liked it when I made it. It was delicate but 'gloomy', does that make sense? I think it works well as an Autumn design. However as I'm writing this I am in the most beautiful place on the planet and erm, Autumn-who? I've done these a few days before my trip. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I'm currently in New Zealand and although it's not been too warm so far the views are compensating BIG TIME. Also it's surprising how productive you can be during 12 hours long flights/waiting for your boyfriend to hire the car...

damask lace matte nails grey spooky moyou london

Once I applied a stamp from MoYou London Fashionista plate I couldn't help but feeling it looked a bit bare. I then had the clever idea to add dots and I really wish I didn't! My hand was really shaky and I just couldn't do it as neatly as I'd like to. Ah well. I used a grey/purple Miss Sporty (sorry don't remember the number!) and Rimmel Lovey Dovey. I added a matte top coat in an attempt to save this mani and I think it looks a lot better. I'm not showing you a before picture, just take my word for it, alright?;) Do you like it? Plus, according to my boyfriend, matte top coat makes everything look cool so not sure you want to argue with his 'expert' opinion! Xx
