3D Chrome Halloween Nail Art featuring Gelish

Happy Halloween! This year I went for rather morbid looking coffin claws to scare off any trick or treating kids in my area. I might be living on a 3rd floor, but you can never be too careful.

I think this may be the first time in over four years of writing this blog that I'm featuring gel polish. Considering that I am in fact qualified in Gelish and use it on all my private clients, it was about time if you ask me! For this special occasion I went for a groundbreaking colour that is...black (Black Shadow to be more precise). Ok, so the colour may not be the most exciting element of this mani but umm, I don't know, a 3D chrome coffin may just be!

The good thing about chrome (in this case) is that it shows every tiny bump on the nail so it really accentuates the coffin and brings out the purple sheen in the powder. Arranging the tiny beads though...let's just say, it's not for the impatient ones and leave it at that, so I don't have to relive that traumatic moment. I used IZ Beauty of London 'Green Unicorn Chrome Pigment'.

I sprinkled a little bit of 'Nebula' Chrome Flakes* by IZ Beauty of London on my middle finger and thumb and added arrowhead studs to the nails I left black. I love how the flakes are matching the chrome and I got so many compliments on how different they look when they catch the light at different angles. And yes, I painted both hands and had to document it with a picture. Who knows when it might happen next?

See you soon! xx
