If you're wondering why you're seeing another ABC Challenge post for the second time this week, there's an explanation. My time management has been seriously crap. Um, yeah, that's all I've got I'm afraid. Quick, let's have a look at today's design, I can feel the awkward silence creeping in!

OPI Softshades 2016 Pastels | Swatches, Nail Art and Review
Think 'OPI', what comes to your mind? Leading in nail care? Professional looking nails you can do at home? Salon finish? My experience with OPI has always been fab and these were certainly my thoughts. Until I tried the Softshades Pastels Collection, that is.
ABC Challenge: F is for Feathers
Do you know what is one of my favourite designs on nails? No, you probably don't because I've never done it until now! I don't know where the logic is in that but there you go. It's actually feathers. I attempted to hand paint them once and decided it's best not to venture there again for the sake of my sanity. However since April, me and and all the lucky ladies that got their hands on the Hitched themed MeeBox* are now proud owners of a Bundle Monster plate in collaboration with Ellandish. And guess what pattern is on it? Feathers!
OPI Wardrobe Collection review
Here's the thing, if someone told me, say, a year ago I'll be doing nail art AND have long(ish) nails I might have had some sort of laughing fit. Then one day, by accident, I've heard of OPI Nail Envy and decided to try it even though I was convinced my nails were beyond any help. Well the rest is history!
I tried so many hardeners and strengtheners available on high street but honestly nothing worked. Yes, my nails were hard but still so thin. I also noticed one annoying thing. My nails became too hard if such thing even exists and started to be brittle and flaky. Obviously in this situation it was impossible to keep immaculate mani for more than half a day. Then this happened:
Water(fall) Closet
This is the first time I decided to publish a waterfall design. Let me tell you now that if you've found yourself struggling with this design don't give up. My first attempts...OMG, I don't even want to think back to the nerves, tears and blaming the entire world for my less than perfect attempt. Try a different brush or a set of different colours or just give it a rest for a few days (months in my case). Or do what worked best for me in the end: pull your finger out! :p
The base colour for all the nails in Golden Rose Rich Color 135. When I picked it up in the shop I thought it was black but it's actually a really dark purple (although after 2 coats it looks black anyway). The colours I used for the waterfall effect are Bourjois Paris 12 Rouge Obscur, Golden Rose Color Expert 87, Orly Harmonious Mess, Miss Selene 259, OPI Samba-dy Loves Purple, Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 102. To apply the colours I used a striping brush that I got cheap online. It's not the best but I can handle it better now that my hands are a bit more experienced with brushes in general. Anyway I already ordered a nice set of brushes and just can't wait to use them! I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite which made the design super glossy and very hard to picture without my light box which I had to leave at home. I still like it though and hope you do too!
