Art Deco

Nude and dark palette continues! I honestly needed a break from all the colour...well, for a few days anyway! I'm so excited to show you this Art Deco design, I think it may be my favourite yet!

What I used:
Maybelline Color Show Winter Baby
Barry M Lychee
Bourjois Paris 12 Rouge Obscur
H&M Glam Gold

I can't believe how easy this design was and I didn't even lose it once. That's a huge deal, I don't think it has ever happened before! The first step was to apply 3 coats of Maybelline Color Show Winter Baby. It's rather sheer but I really like the soft finish. I made this design over 2 days because that way I can be sure the varnish won't come off when using striping tape (the base is completely dry). I used striping tape to create the panel in the middle with Barry M Lychee. The line in the middle was made using a striping brush and Bourjois Paris 12 Rouge Obscur.

I started my accent finger by applying 2 coats of Bourjois Paris 12 Rouge Obscur. The entire design was hand painted using a variation of detail brushes. I started with the line in the middle then added the gold accents using H&M Glam Gold. I finished off with an outline and top coat once I was sure the design was dry.

The inspiration for this design came from the Uptown Funk video by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars that has been in the charts for ages. The dancers have these cool old school shirts and this nail art is inspired by one of them. Can you guess which one?
