31 Day Challenge: Polka Dots

Today's post is rather special because it features some cool polishes I won in a nail art competition. This is the first time I have ever won a nail art competition and I can't help but think I'm rather lucky to recieve such an amazing goodie bag. Scroll down to have a look!

This is the look I've created for today's #31DC2015 using my goodie bag polishes. I won't keep you waiting any longer, here it is! An entire goodie bag full of Nails Inc. products. Yay!

A few weeks ago I entered #manicuremonday on Twitter and won! It was hosted by Grazia Magazine in collaboration with Nails Inc. I love Marylebone High Street! It's this pinky, slightly peachy shade that can just pass as a one coater. I'm wearng two in the pictures. Oh, go on then, I'll show you a swatch!

Isn't it just gorgeous? I really wanted to finally use it so it's a base for today's design. I added some dots with a tiny dotting tool and Barry M Lychee. I also attempted a homemade decal. which actually didn't trun out too bad! It's a cute bow that I thought matched the cutness of this design. The stamp is from MoYou Nails 105. I used 2true shade 21 for the outline and Maybelline Mint for Life to fill the stamp in.

In the goodie bag there were also a correcting pen and Kensington Caviar base and top coat. I didn't need to use the correcting pen just yet but I'm sure it will come in handy! I also didn't use the base coat because I prepped my nails last night with my usual base coat, Nail Envy by OPI. I did however get to use the top coat. One thing I have to say is that it dries insanely fast. It doesn't have that typical plumping effect but I actually like it because it's a bit more runny and I didn't feel like I applied loads. I hate when a top coat makes my nails look really thick. As you can tell from the picture, it has an orange tint but I didn't really think much of it. Until I applied it and watched my design turn a bit orange! I don't really mind, I still like it! I think I'll be using it for darker polishes though.

I'm so happy I got to try out this amazing brand. Thank you Grazia UK, Nails Inc. and everyone who voted for me:) If you're interested, this is the design that won it for me. See you tomorrow!
