Pink Overload

I was feeling a bit uninspired so I thought it was time to try something new! I thought blobbicure would to be quick and easy. Well you definitely have to be quick!

The idea is that you paint your nails and while they are still wet you apply another polish with a dotting tool. This makes the dots spread and creates blobs. I thought it'd be so easy but the polish I used was quite old and viscous so it didn't allow the dots to spread. Also I had to be quick when adding dots because if the polish underneath was too dry the dots wouldn't spread either. Anyway, after a few attempts it sort of worked!

To create 'the heart shape' look I used nail stickers. They stick well and surprisingly don't leave glue on my nails. They come in a pack with 2 additional different shapes, french tip and chevron. I used the chevrons before but they did leave a sticky residue on my nails. To see a design using the chevrons and a mini review check out this post.

The problem with the stickers is that you have to wait for the polish to dry before you can use them. I, of course, didn't and messed it up a few times. It was driving me insane! Now that I think about it, it might have been a lot easier if I used a large dotting tool instead. Oh well, next time!

Thanks for reading! Xx
