BPS | Qgirl-057 Stamping Plate

born pretty store qgirl-057 stamping plate review nails

Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the Qgirl-057 stamping plate* I have recently received from Bornprettystore.com. There are four designs on the plate, two delicate florals and two slightly more crowded damask patterns. I don't actually own any plates with subtle patterns so I was really excited to try this one out. Although the round plates are usually quite small, all four stamps were big enough to cover my long nails.

First I have some floral negative space for you. I am totally obsessed with the newest addition to my A England collection, Cathy. I mentioned a few posts back that I wanted to get it and although I tried hard to resist (well, I tried A BIT) I just couldn't! It's absolutely stunning and I love the delicate blue shimmer running through it. I think this delicate polish goes perfectly with the floral design. I added double stamping on top using a white and a purple polish. The pink rhinestones are from Superdrug

I used my BPS clear stamper* (reviewed here) to transfer my design. I've never done double stamping before but it was really easy because I could see exactly what I was doing and didn't overlap the patterns. I had no problem picking up the design even though it was very delicate.

I don't know about you but I am very much into shabby chic/rustic themes so I don't know why it's taken me so long to recreate it on my nails. Ah, that's right, because it always turns out to be a fail! Still, I decided to give it another go and I love the result. I had this idea for a rustic looking pottery design so I grabbed my HJ Manicure Coco* (reviewed hereto get that perfect rich base. Then it was a bit of dry brush here and there, a stamp, a french vinyl, a matte top coat and after about forever it was done! I have to say I love the antique look, perhaps I'll add a bit of gold next time.

The stamps transferred really well and I love how this damask stamp is so random. It doesn't follow any pattern which makes it really easy to work with and you don't have to be worried about stamping it straight.

What do you think about the plate and the designs I've created with it? You can pick up this plate here. Bornprettystore.com ships internationally free of charge and if you use my code SXL91 you can get 10% off at checkout!
