Stars In My Eyes

For today's Weekly Nail Art Challenge 2015  my mind went blank! The prompt for today is stars and I kinda had this idea to do some form of gradient but the gradient gods were not watching over me...in fact, nail gods are completely blowing me off today! Add to that the fact that I have a flu and you can't blame me for going for something simple today.

Happy Independence Day!

I find myself really lucky that I can experience this holiday in America. The 4th of July nails were a no brainer, it had to happen! This design features some of my "American Haul" such as Sally Hansen Red Carpet and Pacific Blue. This gorgeous glittery red must be my favouite red EVER! It applies like a dream, dries really fast and has so much depth and sparkle. I love it! I didn't realise that the Pacific Blue was a jelly but ah well. It has a very bright but strong colour and I'm sure I'll make use of it.

Once in a blue moon

I've had a good look through my nail polish stash and realised that I haven't used any blue polishes in ages! Blue reminds me of the sky (you'd never guess, would you?!) so I decided on space nails. To make it a bit less unoriginal I decided to add the Moon. I thought the whole mani would be really time consuming. As it happens, it actually took FOREVER to allign the two accent nails!

Starry night

On New Year's Eve everybody's eyes are fixed on the skies. No wonder, a starry sky on a (hopefully) cloudless night is an AMAZING sight...and you probably focus mostly on the fireworks. If that's the case you are seriously missing out! I was lucky enough to be raised in the countryside but now I live in a city and really miss the night views! I didn't really feel like party nails after all the Crimbo festivities so here is a pinky starry night design instead.
