Spring Nail Art: Double Half Moon

Spring is officially here so I think a pastel manicure is in order. I feel a bit bad that I haven’t done any Easter nail designs this year so I am hoping to kill two birds with one stone with this one!

Cirque Colors: Kawaii Collection and Rebrand

citrque kawaii collection review swatches holo furious filer

The new release from Cirque is here and I for one am excited as hell. The Kawaii Collection is described as full of spring colours and sparkle, with a dash of sarcasm. I think we can agree if there ever was a collection made for me, this is it?!

Pastel Colour Block featuring Kure Bazaar

Happy Easter! I think it may be borderline illegal to post anything but pastels around this time of year, so I have 3 beautiful shades coming your way and some on trend nail art.

Nail Art | Floral Pastel Gradient

Do you know what I haven't done in a while? A gradient! Along with (an overdue) spring clean and repotting the 3 plants I own. I know, my life is just crazy exciting right now! Anyway, back to the nails. I used to find it easier to use a bath sponge to create a gradient but these days I opt for a make up sponge. I still think the bath sponge blends the colours well but OMFG the bubbles! I just can't.

Spring Florals for Nail Spec

As we all know by now, I am no expert in painting flowers. The thing is though, I like the odd floral design every now and then but the whole idea of shading really puts me off. And by puts me off I mean I can't do it. Is there any way to avoid it? Yes there is, daisies!

Flower Nail Art with Essie Flowerista

I know what you're thinking, whose nubbins are these?! Bear with me, there's an explanation! Basically, I came across a nail art contest that required recreating a wall flower design. The nail art was done by The Illustrated Nail and it was gorgeous! Like, to the point were I 'recreated' a pretty much identical design...so you'd be surprised to know that I didn't win! WHAT?! I know right, what a joke.

Love Letters for Valentine's Day

I know it's been a bit mad here with the Valentine's Day designs, but I'm almost done, I promise! I just couldn't let this MoYou London Contest pass me by. If you don't know what I'm talking about, every month MoYou London hosts a nail art competition that usually involves using their stamping plates to create a specific design. This month the theme was Love Letters and I had just the plates to make it happen! Today's Weekly Nail Art Challenge theme is also Love Letters so I'm combining both.

Uber Easy Floral Design Featuring Über Chic Detail Brush

Do you remember when I said that one day I'd crack the whole floral mani thing? Well, *drumroll* today is not that day. Yeah...It's fairly close though! One of the reasons I don't paint flowers very often is because, well, it makes me furious;) I just physically CAN'T do it! However I recently bought a gorgeous Über Chic detail brush and let me tell you, there's hope for me yet.

Mani Swap

Ah the dreaded flowers! I can't tell you how many times I failed at this design. If you don't believe me, have a look at any of my feeds. You will find exactly ONE decent floral design. It won't surprise you then, that when the awesome @Nailmachine asked me to do a mani swap with her, I chose to recreate one of her floral manicures. I think I just love making life harder for myself!

Spring pastels featuring BPS nail art stickers review

Recently I've been struggling to come up with new design ideas. I've been ill for a while and now I find it hard to get back into it. But you know what can get you inspired and excited instantly? New stuff :D. I recieved a bunch of things from bornprettystore.com and I can't wait to show it to you. It looks like spring has finally arrived in England, so first up something springy with a bit of a bling!

Easter egg vol.2

I know, I know, not a very 'festive' design but it IS inspired by an Easter egg. I was looking through my stamping plates and couldn't believe I found a stamp that looked so much like this funky Easter egg design I found online! Check out the picture after the jump!

Easter Bunny

You know how during Christmas we tell kids Santa will bring them presents if they're good? Well in Poland we do the same for Easter but it's a Bunny that brings gifts, obviously, WHO ELSE?! I haven't been able to go home for Easter for the past 2 years and I can't go this year either so I'm just thinking back to all the traditions and customs I suppose. Even the silly ones, I mean, Easter Bunny? C'mon!

Easter Eggs

Or Easter Pisanki as we used to call it at home. If you don't know what a pisanka is, it is basically a painted or in any other way decorated Easter egg. My aunt used to use wax and food colouring to create these gorgeous patterns and colours and this was my inspiration for this design!

Missing the Sun

Finally after days of fog, rain and cold today's weather is actually not bad! It's sunny and sky's clear...well the tiny bit of sky I can see from my AMAZINGLY situated flat. Anyway my point is the weather was seriously bringing me down and today it feels like spring so I decided to do a spring design featuring pinky glitter and birds.

Summer's Over

Noooo! I still feel like flowers and bright colours and refuse to let go...for now anyway. So screw it, here are some very 'unautumny' daisy flowers. I know, I am SUCH a rebel.

daisy flowers nail art

For base I used Orly Harmonious Mess. To paint the flowers I find it is best to use a runny varnish. I used french mani type but it wasn't very visible on the dark base but Natural Collection Nail Top Whitener did a great job. I then used the thinnest longish brush to create daisy petals. I waited for it to dry (otherwise it turns into a right mess) and repeated the process to make the flowers look a bit thicker. For yellow dots I used Seche Perfectly Poised and the biggest dotting tool and finished it off with a clear top coat.
