New Year's Eve is upon us and it's time for our nails to distract from the fact that we can't fit into our fabulous party outfits anymore after Christmas. Have you put your nails on the back burner and now you're panicking? Have you forgotten to book your appoinment? Can you just simply not paint nails as well as you wish you could? Seriously, you just need to practice...but now is not the time! Make that your New Year's resolution because no matter what you can still achieve an amazing set just in time for your party.

Did you know that this is the second time I've taken part in the 31 Day challenge? It's also the second time I've struggled with this prompt. I mean, galaxy doesn't sound that complicated, does it? No, but I had the clever idea of creating JUPITER. Yep, I even planned to include the massive storm on its surface...ha...hahhaah...hahah...HA! (That's a fake laugh, btw)

Space Design for Nail Spec

Have you noticed that a design can look totally different on a different nail shape? That's why I love playing with my nail shape every now and then, it's refreshing! It makes me look at a design from a completely new perspective. Take galaxy nails. We've all seen it, we've all done it and we're all just *a tad* bored with it, amarite?! And yet, now that my nails are square I feel like I'm discovering this kind of nail art all over again!

A (Milky) Way To My Heart

Ok, here's my thing with galaxy nails. It's been done a million times and I was kinda over it. But then this one time, my boyfriend came from a trip to town with some food shopping, a new haircut and oh, a few Barry M polishes...?...?....?!?!?! Well, I'm not going to complain! One of them was a gorgeous limited edition Sparkling Amethyst and it was just begging for galaxy nails. So even though I've done it a few times before, here are some space nails!

Ever had a day where no matter what you do or how hard you try you can't even paint your nails properly? Not to mention attempting any nail art! Well, I've had one of those today. I tried so many designs and none of them worked! I just couldn't get my shit together.

Once in a blue moon

I've had a good look through my nail polish stash and realised that I haven't used any blue polishes in ages! Blue reminds me of the sky (you'd never guess, would you?!) so I decided on space nails. To make it a bit less unoriginal I decided to add the Moon. I thought the whole mani would be really time consuming. As it happens, it actually took FOREVER to allign the two accent nails!

Starry night

On New Year's Eve everybody's eyes are fixed on the skies. No wonder, a starry sky on a (hopefully) cloudless night is an AMAZING sight...and you probably focus mostly on the fireworks. If that's the case you are seriously missing out! I was lucky enough to be raised in the countryside but now I live in a city and really miss the night views! I didn't really feel like party nails after all the Crimbo festivities so here is a pinky starry night design instead.
