Today's prompt is the one I was looking forward to the least. If you read my blog regularly then you know I'm not massively into flowers and that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I can't paint them. Ok, maybe a teensy tiny bit. Mint Collab

I have finally found time to put my Christmas prezzies into good use! My boyfriend went on some sort of shopping rampage behind my back and got me what I can only describe as 'indie heaven'. I wanted to snap a quick photo for you but quite frankly I just couldn't fit it all in one frame. Yep, he's a keeper!

Fireworks for New Year's Eve? Erm, Holo?!

What I can't understand is why do we celebrate New Year's Eve in such close proximity to Christmas. The fridge is STILL packed full of leftovers and it is very likely that I've gained a stone in the past week. Oh and I'm supposed to wear a bodycon dress tonight. Fantastic. 

OK so New Year's Eve might not be my thing but I tell you what is, fireworks! I might resemble a balloon tonight but at least my nails are 'fit' for the occasion;)

Pink Christmas

Have you found yourself thinking: why is her hand so tanned all of a sudden? Don't worry, I didn't have an unfortunate self tan incident. I mean, what, that would just be weird...I NEVER had one of those...<nervous laugh>. No seriously, the reason why my hand is browner than usual is because I made this manicure in July. See, a perfectly good explanation. And not weird AT ALL.

Glamming up!

When I feel a bit poorly and just meh in general, a good pampering session can sort me right out. I'm sure a lot of you ladies out there would agree! A nice bath, face mask and a glass of wine should just about do it for me. Oh and a new design on my claws, obviously! To feel all glammed up I always reach for black and gold. To me these two colours put together are the epitome of glamour!

It turned out that while I was blissfully unaware on holidays in one of the most amazing places on Earth I have missed a parcel or two. I finally managed to make my way to the post office depo to find my newest Nailbox waiting for me and I have seriously never been this excited in my entire life! LOOK AT ALL THESE BEAUTIES! Fun fact! When I was a teenager I was obsessed with Nirvana. I had tops with Kurt Cobain on them and all the CDs I could get my hands on. CDs?! Jeez, now I feel old! One of the songs I loved was Heart-Shaped Box and it was my inspo for today's 31 Day Challenge 'Inspired by a song'.

I've had one of those bad nail days again. Seriously?! I've only had one like 3 days ago! Anyway as today's prompt for 31 Day Challenge isn't too clear, I attempted a few different designs and they were all crap! In the end, I managed to compose myself, found some patience from god knows where and attempted to create something decent one last time.

I didn't really know where I was going with today's prompt, I had no vision, which is probably why it took me forever to paint it. About half way through I suddenly remembered the super gorgeous design by Lacquerstyle and decided to recreate it.

Yes, we got past that a looong time ago and now I really enjoy stamping so I was thrilled to be asked to review MoYou Nails stamping kit*.

I have a sweet (hounds)tooth

You know, sometimes I forget that a design doesn't have to be super complicated to be interesting. I was rummaging through my stamping plates and found this beauty. Why I have never used this houndstooth stamp before I don't know. I've had it for ages!

Bonkers

I honestly don't know what came over me when I was doing this design. I didn't have anything in mind, I just knew what colours I wanted to use and started doodling away! The thing with colourful, in your face kind of nails is that they're awesome...on someone else! I love this design, but maybe because it's so different, I feel a bit self-conscious wearing it. But what the hell, it's summer so I'm rocking these!
