December is filled with Christmas events of all kind, but this year I had the pleasure of being a part of arguably the most christmassy of them all. Rimmel London sure knows how to get us in the festive spirit!

MeeBox No Place Like Home | Swatches, Nail Art and Review
Happy New Year! Did you all have a good night? I'm pretty sure my neighbours spent a year's worth of wages on fireworks so I had a pretty amazing view. Now that you have (hopefully) cured your hangover, let's talk about some unfinished business from 2016, the December Meebox review! This time the goodies in the box were inspired by the Wizard of Oz and we got 7 products as opposed to the usual 5, just in time for Christmas! I think I need to confess something before I start with the review....I might be the only person on the planet who hasn't in fact watched the Wizard of Oz. I kinda get the idea now (thank you, Wikipedia!) but surprisingly, googling the Wizard of Aus didn't get me anywhere. Yep, I know, clueless! Now that that's off my chest, let's have a look at the box's contents.
Grown Up Christmas Nails
I am fully aware that Christmas is a time to go OTT with literally everything. Christmas jumpers, PJs, hats, decorations, fairy lights, the whole lot. Nails definitely fall into that category but sometimes it's nice to switch things up a bit and go for something a little subtle. Today I want to show you my 'grown up' version of a Christmas manicure that won't blind you with glitter but will still (hopefully) get you in the festive spirit.
Cirque 2016 Holiday Collection
Well, this is just simply not on. It's about a week until Christmas and this is my first Christmas post! It's my favourite time of the year and believe me when I say that I crammed just about as many candles, Christmas trees, wreaths, fairy lights, baubles and festive cushions as I could into my one bed flat. Unfortunately, with a relatively new job, college, breaking my laptop AND iPad and now the news that my parents are coming for Christmas (cue mad cleaning spells), blogging just had to take a step back. But not to worry, I still have a few days left to show you all the festive designs I've been doing meanwhile.
Santa Comes from Polishville. Fact.
I swear I wanted to go for something absolutely ridiculous for today's Weekly Nail Art Challenge. Just about anything vaguely Christmas related was going to end up on my nails. But I'm afraid all the Christmas preparation and gift wrapping got the best of me and I couldn't face anymore festivities! What's happened, I became a Scrooge!
Pink Christmas
Have you found yourself thinking: why is her hand so tanned all of a sudden? Don't worry, I didn't have an unfortunate self tan incident. I mean, what, that would just be weird...I NEVER had one of those...<nervous laugh>. No seriously, the reason why my hand is browner than usual is because I made this manicure in July. See, a perfectly good explanation. And not weird AT ALL.

Stars In My Eyes
For today's Weekly Nail Art Challenge 2015 my mind went blank! The prompt for today is stars and I kinda had this idea to do some form of gradient but the gradient gods were not watching over me...in fact, nail gods are completely blowing me off today! Add to that the fact that I have a flu and you can't blame me for going for something simple today.
December Mix
I am a big fan of the design I'm about to show you. It's simple but I feel like it combines winter, snowflake and even Christmas themes. And let's just all take a minute to stare at the sparkle!
Monochrome Christmas
My Christmas jumper obsession continues. Today I decided to use my MoYou London plate that I was talking about a few posts back. I was trying to figure out another way to use this plate for today's #wnac2015 and I came up with this little number.
Jumpers For Life
This time last year I was all about the reindeers, penguins and just about any creature from the animal kingdom you associate with Christmas and winter. This year I'm all about Christmas jumper designs! I am obsessed I just.can't.stop. I've already shared some with you but there is more to come so don't say I didn't warn you ;)

Metallic Wonderland
This month I decided to take part in the Weekly Nail Art Challenge because well, there are a few reasons. First, I always wanted to do it and second, all the themes for this month revolve around Christmas and winter. Erm hello? I'm all over it!
Fair Isle Inspired Nail Art
I was so happy when the recent issue of Nail It magazine finally landed on my door step a few days ago. As you can imagine it was mostly Christmas themed and since I am a Christmas freak, it was right up my street! I spotted a tutorial for a Fair Isle design by @ninanailedit and I knew I had to give it a go.
I'm dreaming of a matte Christmas
For whatever reason I decided to experiment with matte top coat and glitter. I tried a few options and I have to say I really like the 3D effect. Matte top coat in general is amazing! I love how different your nails look and how soft they are to touch. But do I want to go matte for Christmas? What about the usual glitz, shine and sparkle stuff? Well I thought about it, tried matte, saw the effect and decided: sod it! So I give to you a very rebellious matte Crimbo nails.
Glam Christmas
I think there is something very luxurious about matching black with gold. Black nail varnish is one of my favourites. I know a lot of people aka my entire family sees it as sad and morbid but I think it's very chic, especially when very glossy or paired with gold. I love all the 'typical' Christmas colours as you will see in the course of this month but recently I really wanted something glam on my nails. So I decided to incorporate black into my Christmas design and I must say I kinda like it!
Christmas Time!
It's December and I hope it's acceptable to talk christmas stuff. I mean I'm sure coca-cola adverts were aired like 2 weeks ago and we all know what THAT means! I've been dying to do christmas nails for ages so I'm buzzing. I have a whole month of crimbo nails coming up for you so hope you are as excided as I am!
